PERIOD OF WARRANTY.

Each new Yamaha Outboard Motor with a valid Owner’s Warranty Card purchased from an authorized Yamaha Outboard Dealer in Taiwan area(Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu) only will be warranted for a period of one (1) year under non-manmade factors from the date of purchase, subject to exclusions noted herein.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY.

This warranty will not cover the following:

(1) Parts replaced due to normal wear or any man-made factor adjudged by technicians of Yamaha General Agent, such as impellers, propellers, filters, spark plugs, and etc.

(2) An invalid Owner’s Warranty Card, such as incorrect or incomplete information, no store stamp from an authorized Yamaha Outboard dealer.

(3) HEREBY DECLARE: The Owner’s Warranty Card is applicable to the products sold by an authorized Yamaha Outboard Dealer in Taiwan area(Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu) only. Any product from a non-authorized Yamaha Outboard Motor Dealer or General Agent is excluded from warranty coverage.

(4) Failures of damage caused by improper adjustment/disassembly, improper maintenance, modification to original parts or modifications not conforming to standard specifications designated by YAMAHA; a non-authorized Yamaha Outboard Motor Dealer or technicians of General Agent; repair/installation of other than genuine YAMAHA parts and/or accessories.

(5) The damage is the result of neglect or improper maintenance, improper storage as specified in the applicable Owner’s Manual, Service Manual or Instructional Booklet.

(6) The damages caused by abuse, neglect or improper operation, improper use of the product as specified in the applicable Owner’s Manual, Service Manual or Instructional Booklet.

(7) The damages due to incompatible fuels, engine oils or lubricants that are not suitable for outboard motor use as specified in the applicable Owner’s Manual, Service Manual or Instructional Booklet.

(8) The damages result from water submersion and/or ingestion, accident or collision or contact with foreign objects, fire, vandalism, suffering loss by theft or any natural disaster.

(9) SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS: taxi fare, travel expense, accommodation, inconvenience, loss of personal assets, loss of time, loss of income/revenue, loss of product use, loan fees, cost of insurance claim and any other expenses occurred during obtaining service under warranty or the period of unavailability by using any similar rental product or replacement.  

(10) For matters not covered by the warranty terms or conditions noted herein, it shall be according to the relevant Taiwan’s laws or regulations for dispute resolution.
